LATE SEASON FLORALS - ALTERED PAGES

I am an avid gardener and I can spend hours just observing the wonder of colors. In our everyday lives we get preoccupied with what color will go with another. I know I do, but then I will go out to my gardens and will be totally amazed at how beautifully a mix of blooms work with each to provide such beauty. As artists we have the opportunity of playing with colors. Do you have any favorite combinations? We would love to have you share them.

I have created this rubber stamped art image with rubber from ALTERED PAGES. The rubber stamp set this image is taken from is the "Floral Royalty Plate". These images are fun to play with and you can use these images to find out what color combinations you prefer. I have stamped with Mementos Tuxedo Black dye ink and colorized with Copic Sketch markers. I have selected totally different shades of red tones on purpose in a patterned cardstock from Basic Grey. Although the reds are different I have tied the colors together using the green and beige tones from the Bazzill cardstock background layers, the greens being part of the leaf colors in the imagery. Exercises like this are fun. I love working with lace and pearls and those were my choices for embellishing this image from ALTERED PAGES stamp line.

A GOLDEN BIRD - ALTERED PAGES

Create a beautiful and simplistic card with this beautiful Golden Bird from Altered Pages. The bird is gold foil German Scrap. You don't even have to cut it out, simply adhere it to a favorite background and embellish as you wish. My background is 5.5 inches square, just to give you an idea on the size of the bird. I have chosen a patterned paper over a gold metallic cardstock background. I have embellished with a glittered gold border. This would make a lovely card or look great framed for a wall hanging.

VANITY - RUBBER STAMPED IMAGE - ALTERED PAGES

I have created this rubber stamped card art with a beautiful image entitled "Vanity". This is a lovely, deeply etched stamp. I have stamped with Tuxedo black Memento ink and colorized with Copic Sketch markers. The base card and an additional layer are created with Bazzill textured cardstock. the image background in glittered greens is from the "Once Upon a Time" Patterned paper stack. The gemstone embellishments are from Hero Arts.

HER ROYAL HIGHNESS - ALTERED PAGES

"Her Royal Highness" is but one of the many images in the FLORAL ROYALTY PLATE SET of rubber stamps from ALTERED PAGES.I have created this 5" square card with beige Bazzill cardstock. The upper layer of the base card is a velvet embossed pattern cardstock in beige, white and pale blue which is trimmed with a German Scrap gold-foil foral border available at Altered Pages. I have Stamped the image on a cream stock,and placed on beige Bazzill to coordinate with the base card. I have used Copic Sketch Markers to color the image and embellished the crown, gown and necklace with gold stickles. The flower is created with petals from Hero Arts and centered with a brass brad.

This rubber stamp image is perfect for creating a "Thank You" or "Gift" Card. It is also perfect for Domino Art or for ATC's...Use your imagination and check out the Domi 1 images at ALTERED PAGES. I have rubber stamped with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. Coloring is done with Copic Sketch markers. The base card (5.5 x 4")is a sage-toned Bazzill cardstock with a layer of gold-toned Basic Grey patterned cardstock. I have placed my image on another patterned piece of Basic Grey cardstock and placed a rubber stamped butterfly on the top right corner. This is one of the images also available on the Domi 1 set. I have embellished with 3 blue gemstones and added a reversed fleur des lis Cricut border die cut using the same cardstock as the base card.

I love the versatility of this awesome "Flying Egyptian" rubber stamp from ALTERED PAGES.I have chosen two blue tones for the card and background. I have rubber stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and overlayed it on printed Basic Grey patterned cardstock. I have created ecru cotton lace borders and embellished with florets from Martha Stewart and blue gem stones from Hero Arts.







Presenting the same image in a different setting. I have elected to have a Buff toned Bazzill cardstock base card and for the background I have selected a lovely dry embossed floral patterned paper. The image has been stamped in black and the edges have been distressed. The black and gold borders are from Martha Stewart and the gems from Hero Arts.
