Three Muses - Blue Bottle Tree

The legend of the blue bottle trees is one of my favorite stories, and I couldn't resist repeating it for this challenge. Kathryn Wyndham, long a member of Storytellers, Inc., is a master storyteller. Spinning tales in her soft, southern drawl, she tells the story of the ladies of Gees Bend, who make beautiful quilts; the days of race riots in Selma; and of her coffin, which has been lovingly constructed by a long-time family friend, which sits in the back of her garage awaiting the time she'll need it. She tells of Jeffrey, the resident ghost with whom she shares her home, and shares many colorful stories of her experiences as a girl reporter.
