I swear, my mother's favorite bird was a chicken! Aside from helping my father on the farm, she had her own little egg business on the side, for which she kept a separate bank account and separate books! She was feisty and independent. The news clipping is an actual clipping that appeared in the paper many years ago describing our farm. Thanks for allowing me a trip down memory lane!
